It is time to shop for your Autumn wardrobe and get yourself ready for the cold. Football is underway and it is about to get ready for the spooky season. The temperature changes massively, so you will need to put an extra layer on. Here are some of the items that you need to add to your wardrobe this year.

Flannel Shirts

Flannel shirts are a must-buy this autumn because they are stylish and much warmer than your traditional shirts. Flannel shirts often have a plaid print look. If you do not know what a plaid print is then, think of tartan. A solid-coloured flannel shirt can go with anything as well. Keep it simple with a pair of denim jeans or with chinos. The colours that you often get with a flannel shirt are fitting for the colours of autumn as well.

Buttoned Cardigans

If you have never purchased a cardigan before, this year is the year to buy one. The temperature isn’t too cold for a big jacket yet which is why you need to purchase a cardigan. Adding something extra to your graphic tees. A cardigan doesn’t stand out that much but, whatever you choose to wear below is your main piece. A cardigan is just there to keep you warm and add another layer to your outfit.

Cable-knit pullovers

Cable-knit sweaters are great for those that work in the office. The temperature is going to be slightly colder than usual. Making it the perfect sweater weather. You can get them in a range of different colours as well to go with your blue or black denim jeans. When you are outside, you will need to put a jacket over it. It is a basic look but it works a treat every year. Wearing this over the shirt is the perfect outfit for those posh business meetings.

Loose Fit Denim

Let’s be honest, Denim is a great piece of clothing all year round. Whether it is with skinny jeans or a jacket. A jacket is great to put over your t-shirts to keep you warm as well. Furthermore, loose fit denim jeans seem to be making a return to the fashion world. Not your boot cut jeans, they can stay in the 00s. We are talking about straight cut jeans with low. Your jeans have returned from the 90s and are taking over.

Buffalo Check Layers

Nothing screams autumn more than buffalo check clothing. Large red and black squares styled as plaid/ tartan patterns. A shacket is everything that you need when it comes to autumn. Not only is it the perfect extra layer because of how fashionable they look they usually are heavy jackets. Meaning that it will keep you warm. You could probably wear it over your cable knit pullovers.

Puffer Jackets

Puffer jackets are great during the autumn for several reasons. They tend to not have a hood which isn’t that bad because during September, October and November. They are great for keeping you warm and many brands love making them as well. Berghaus and North Face are just two brands that produce high-quality clothing. Jeans and chinos are a great addition to this style. Just make sure you do not wear a puffer jacket when it is too hot.

Footwear

It will be damp when it comes to autumn, so you do not want to be wearing your traditional trainers. You probably will need to wear boots, luckily for you, there are a wide variety of boots. Chelsea boots are great for your wardrobe. There are many other boots out there that can be worn as well. Another positive about Chelsea boots, they are laceless so they are easy to slip on and off.

Trench Coat

Again, trench coats are usually designed without a hood. They are slightly less warm than a puffer jacket that we mentioned earlier. There are many different trench coats that you can buy and they come in a range of different colours. It depends on the rest of your outfit and what colour you wear. For example, if you are wearing black jeans, you will want to go with a more colourful trench coat. If you are wearing blue denim jeans then you would want to wear a grey/ black trench coat.

Sweater Vests

Sweater vests are back in fashion. They used to be popular back in the 1970s and seem to have disappeared until the 90s/ 00s. Now it has returned to catwalks and is easy to like. Due to the temperature, you will want to wear long-sleeve tops underneath to keep your arms.

Turtle Necks

These are the styles you need to add to your wardrobe. They have been around for many years and they are great at keeping your neck warm as well as the rest of your body. It is a brave move wearing these alone so choose a nice trench coat to go over the top. A trench coat is a style throughout autumn so wearing a turtleneck should go hand in hand with that. A turtle neck is a key fashion trend when it comes to the autumn months.

To Conclude

There are many items to buy when it comes to your autumn wardrobe. The aim is to pick clothes that are going to keep you warm and dry. A hoodie is another item for casual wear during the autumn months. You shouldn’t expect too much rain in autumn. Just remember to put on the extra layers as it can be surprisingly cold. Tracksuits will also be a good addition to your winter wardrobe. There are plenty of brands that sell mens full tracksuits so, make sure you find the best style.
