Here are five things to look for when buying a 3D TV.

  1. These days, resolution is everything. The higher the resolution, the more real the experience feels. If you are in the market to buy a 3D TV, then you’re probably looking for the most immersive experience possible. So be sure to do some research online to find out exactly what the range is on resolution these days and go to a few electronics stores to test out the difference, and see what each one is offering.
  2. Passive or active. When it comes to 3D technology, there are two main kinds of experiences – passive and active. If you’ve ever seen a 3D movie in a theater, then you were probably experiencing passive 3D technology. Whether you were seeing the movies made in the 50s or in our current age, the technology has been practically the same. However, active 3D technology requires special glasses that use fast-moving shutters for a far more active experience.   3. Screen size. The size of your screen will have a huge impact on your overall experience. If you have a large living room, you don’t want your screen to be too small.   5. 2D performance. In all likelihood, you’re probably going to watch regular 2D TV from time to time on your 3D TV, and you want to be sure that it performs just as well. Be sure that the resolution and definition are just as spectacular in 2D as they are in 3D so that you don’t have to watch normal television in a different room.
