TheatreThe year 2013 is looking to be a great year in terms of movies because lots of entertaining movies are lining up on the big screen. There are a lot of anticipated movies that are going to be shown this year and these movies are best seen with 3D glasses and popcorn.

1) Iron Man 3

Tony Stark is once again back in this third installment of Iron Man and this time, he is up against a villain known as The Mandarin. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow return in the third installment in this very successful Marvel Comics franchise. Shane Black directs and Guy Pearce plays the character known as The Mandarin. Robert Downey Jr. can’t possibly let go of his role because he is very comfortable playing the role of Tony Stark and Shane Black knows nobody else really fits the bill.

2) Fast & Furious 6

The trio of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are back in the 6th installment of Fast & Furious. Each movie in this franchise looks to become better than the last so this one looks to be no different. Justin Lin directs and Michelle Rodriguez makes her much awaited return to Fast & Furious. You can expect fast cars and wild chases just like the past 5 movies in this franchise. There are definitely going to be some wild action scenes that will drive the audience crazy and wanting for more. The addition of Dwayne “The Rock” Johsnon is pure gold because he is a former 6 time WWE champion who is looking to prove his mettle in the Hollywood world. He has made some excellent movies and he can add this one to that growing list.

3) The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

For those who saw the first Hunger Games, you all know that Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) survived. However, in this part they are put back on the arena for the Quarter Quell. It is looking to be more menacing than the last game. This battle will most likely be bloody and the characters will look to turn on each other for survival.

4) Man of Steel

Zach Snyder directs the new version of the Superman origin. The all star cast includes Russell Crowe playing Jor-El, Kevin Costner playing Jonahthan Kent, Laurence Fishburne playing Perry White, Amy Adams playing Lois Lane and newcomer Henry Cavill playing the role of Clark Kent and Superman. The anticipation for this movie has been higher with each passing day because everyone is waiting to see how they handle this remake. There are certainly going to be long lines at the Charing Cross Theatre for this movie for a number of weeks.

5) The Wolverine

Hugh Jackman reprises his role of Wolverine from the X-Men series and the first movie. This time, this installment is available in 3D so the audience can sit tight and enjoy with their 3D glasses on. James Mangold directs this movie with the knowledge that fans still care about Wolverine because of those ever loving claws that spawn out of his hand all the time.
