The capital and largest city in Argentina, Buenos Aires is a vacation destination for high-energy night owls and architecture enthusiasts. It’s home to more animal species than anywhere else in the world as well as tons of indigenous Amazonian tribes. Most easily accessed in Peru, the Amazon is a must for nature lovers.

8. Salar De Uyuni, Bolivia

With an appearance similar to a winter wonderland, Salar De Uyuni is actually the world’s largest salt flat. Covering over 4,000 square miles and located in Southwest Bolivia, it boasts an elevation of 3,656 meters above sea level. Formed as a result of prehistoric lake transformations, it’s a site that’s sure to blow your mind.
