<p>American 2013 music awards honored Taylor Swift and earned her the title of artist of the year. Other nominees included Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars.</p>
<p>She thanked all her fans for making 2013 so special for her; she wore a golden short dress and thanked everyone for giving her so much love.</p>
<p>She also presented an award to Timberlake for favorite rock male. He was awarded with two more awards later that evening for favorite R&#038;B male artist and R&#038;B album. </p>
<p>Winner for favorite R&#038;b female artist was swooped by Rihanna the third time. </p>
<p>By means of live satellite from Miami Macklemore and Ryan Lewis received the favorite rap album award.</p>

<p>One Direction won two honors, favorite pop group and favorite pop album this is the first time the band has been nominated for an American Music Award. </p>
<p>A new award was introduced, single of the year which was awarded to Florida Georgia Line and Nelly for &#8220;Cruise.&#8221; </p>
<p>Katy Perry performed her newest single; &#8220;Unconditionally.&#8221; wearing a conventional Japanese dress, the singer was combined by dancers for the live show of the latest single off her &#8220;Prism&#8221; album.</p>
<p>Pitbull’s humor left the crowd wanting him more.<br />
He performed with other dancers to some of the admired dance moves over the years.</p>
<p>There was loads of performance all through the night, One Direction presenting a concert of &#8220;Story of My Life.&#8221; The hosts Pitbull and Ke$ha together put up for a show of &#8220;Timber.&#8221; Meanwhile Justin fired the stage with an acoustic guitar.</p>
<p>Lady Gaga performed by taking a chain of phone calls, the last being from R. Kelly. They then performed on, &#8220;Do What U Want,&#8221; with a background that was imagined to be the White House. Kelly was the president, while Gaga portrayed his sexy mistress.</p>
<p>Miley Cyrus closed the show with &#8220;Wrecking Ball,&#8221; that will most likely become talk of all the performances. She stepped out in a bikini packed with imagery of cats, with huge earrings and bracelets. The kitty idea sustained when a picture of a cat appeared on the screen all through the song. </p>
<p>Several stars attended this musical award nights, some of them big names including Marc Anthony, Michael Bolton, Kristen Bell, Chris Daughtry, Ciara, Nathan Fillion, Zoe Saldana, Fall Out Boy, Daisy Fuentes, Dave Grohl, Juan Pablo Galavis, Jennifer Hudson, Jaden Smith, Sarah Silverman, Heidi Klum, Emma Roberts, Joan Jett, Kelly Osbourne, Lady Antebellum, Jeremy Renner, Nicole Richie, 2Chainz, Naya Rivera and Alicia Silverstone, and also “Shark Tank” crew. </p>
