<p>With the explosion of new, and great places to eat in Victoria BC, a short list is woefully inadequate in giving you the breadth of choices available for culinary adventures. Continuing our list of great food places to go to in Victoria, we have, in no particular order:</p>

<li>Chicken 649 &#8211; a big part of this Korean fried chicken’s success is the marinating of their chicken for 24 hours. Typical of Korean restaurants, they have a full complement of sides and salads. If you’d rather not wait for your turn during rush hours, you can place an order mid-afternoon and pick it up before rush hour. They serve local beers to wash that fried chicken down.</li>
<li>The Drake Eatery &#8211; located in the downtown area, the Drake, as it is known to local, offers 29 beers on tap in winter, and 33 in the summer when their patio becomes available to guests. To go with the beers, you can order caponatas, hummus, tapenades, dips, olives, nuts, or pretzels. For something heavier, they offer meat, cheese, and roasted vegetable boards.</li>
<li>Q &#8211; this restaurant overlooks the harbor, and was recognized in 2017 as having one of the best selections of wines in Victoria. Their menu is based on sustainably caught seafood and traditionally-raised meats. Open from breakfast to dinner and beyond, Q is an excellent choice for the gourmet in you. Light fare, pizzas or a hearty meal, Q has something for every appetite.</li>
<li>Courtney Room &#8211; located at the Magnolia Hotel, the Courtney Room is one of the new restaurants on the block. The chef though, certainly isn’t wet behind the ears, as Sam Harris has won multiple awards and recognition. He was instrumental in making the Agrius restaurant a go-to place for food-loving patrons. A full-service restaurant, they offer salads, sandwiches, large plate and of course, bar fare.</li>
<li>Bodega &#8211; derives its menu from its Spanish name, serving tapas, pinchos, ceviche, and more stomach-filling fare in the form of charcuterie board. The wine selection offers reds, whites and cavas. They also offer sherry and cocktails to go with your tapas.</li>
</ul>
<p>Happy hours in Victoria BC has traditionally been associated with after work get-togethers over food and drink. The explosion of readily-available, and great, food in cafes, eateries, restaurants and bars means that any hour that suits your fancy to partake of a succulent bite is a Victoria BC happy hour.</p>
