However if you plan ahead, a fun day out in London doesn’t have to be costly. There are so many free attractions and fun things to do in this incredible city without spending a fortune.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">It would take more than a day just to get around main museums of London alone, which are all of course, free, with the exception of the special exhibitions which do have a fee to enter. The National History museum is not to be missed, especially if you are travelling with kids. Just avoid the gift shop if you are planning on keeping costs down! The British Museum, the Science Museum, the Museum of London and the Victoria &; Albert Museum are all free to enter and a great idea for a memorable, yet affordable day out in London.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">You will find the National Gallery at the top of the Trafalgar Square piazza, where you can see works by Van Gogh, da Vinci and many more. Or if you enjoy contemporary and modern art, pop into the Serpentine Gallery when you are on your way through Kensington Gardens. Other free galleries in London include the Tate Britain, the Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts, the Wallace Collections and the Wellcome Collection, which are all well worth a visit.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;"><b>3. The Sights of London</b></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Keep your camera handy because there are loads free things to do in London which are not to be missed, and the main sights are no exception. You can cross London’s famous bridges including Tower Bridge, the Millennium Bridge and the Jubilee Bridge or observe the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham palace, or even have a look around inside Westminster Abbey, one the oldest Gothic buildings in England. Also don’t forget and get a photo by the London Eye, the Gherkin tower, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;"><b>4. Picnic in the Park</b></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">London is plentiful in stunning parks and gardens where you take a peaceful refuge in, in contrast to the bustling city life beyond the park gates. London’s top parks include Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. You can also chill out and enjoy a view of Buckingham palace in St. James Park, enjoy the Queen Mary’s rose gardens in Regents Park, or take a picnic in Green Park, which is a pleasure and works out cheaper than eating in a restaurant.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;"><b>5. Window Shopping</b></h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Located in the affluent Knightsbridge area, Harrods is the most exciting department store in London and merely having a walk around and browsing through the huge ranges of exquisite items is a treat in itself. Hamleys, the massive toy shop, is also fun for a look around, but if you are tightening those purse strings, only take the kids in there at your own risk!<br />
