10 Creative Pranks To Play On Your Roommate

You’ve got finals looming, and you’re not quite sure how you’re going to pay for the next semester, and your parents are visiting tomorrow. So, of course, it’s the perfect time to pull a prank on your roommate. Here are a few ideas.

1. Bunk Up

If your roommate sleeps on the top bunk, remove the support beams that hold the mattress aloft. Make sure you’re not on the bottom bunk when he hops in bed. Instead have a camera ready to watch as he plummets to the lower level. Dangerous? Not to you, so stop worrying.

2. Shampoo for Oily Hair

Next time your roommate uses up the hot water, here’s a slick way to get even. Replace his shampoo with baby oil. For extra fun, add food coloring.

3. The Old Sink Sprayer Gag

You’ve seen in done in the movies, on TV and perhaps in your own home, but it never fails to please.  Put a rubber band around the sink sprayer’s handle, opening it up full blast, so that next time your roomy goes to turn on the sink, he gets a head start on his laundry.

4. Who’s at the Door?

Dorm living may be cramped, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Due to the overly efficient design, you can probably find two doors across the hall from each other. Tie a rope to the two doorknobs, knock a couple of times on both doors and wait for fun to start. To add insult to injury, invite friends to join you in a spontaneous game of limbo.

5. Ring Tone Fun

First chance you get, secretly swipe your roommates phone. Find your phone number and change the ring tone to something embarrassing. Something like “I’m Too Sexy,” or “If You Want Be My Lover,” should to the trick. Now wait until he’s in class and call him. Haha I would do this when he’s on a hot date.

6. The Plastic Prank

Okay, this is an old, but tried and true prank. This is best when your roommate gets home late at night. Wrap the toilet seat in plastic wrap. Early mornings are also an excellent time for this gag. Actually, any time of day when your roomy is tired.

7. Shifty Furniture

Takes patience, but is fun to watch. Slowly, over a period of days, shift your roommate’s furniture across the room about an inch a day. The confusion on their face at the end of all this will be one of remember forever.

8. Pack it In

Whether it’s a closet or a car, fill your roommate’s cabinet or bathroom with balloons, Styrofoam peanuts or popcorn.

9. Stick ’em Up

Ah, the many uses of superglue. That really should be enough right there, but if you need some suggestions, try it on soda cans, cabinet doors, school books, deodorant caps. Really, the options are endless…and fun.

10. The Sleepy Shaver

He’s passed out on the couch. Start with a simply spray of shaving cream to the right hand then tickle his nose with a feather or string. I think you can see where this is going.

I’m not saying these things will make you closer, but, hey, it’s better than beating the crap out of him!
